Favourite Book Series…
This week I decided to participate in Alexis' (at Reflections of a Bookaholic) meme "Why I love". This is a super fun meme that I always read and comment on but for some reason have never participated in.
This week the topic is Favourite Series, and this was actually a bit of a tough question for me because while I love the idea of a book series that hooks me and goes on forever I usually loose interest around book #3 or #4 and rarely finish. I couldn't pick just one series so I narrowed it down to 3 favourite series in 3 different genres (see how I cheated a bit there? I'm sneaky like that!).
Dystopian
The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins
I held of on reading The Hunger Games for the longest time thinking that it wasn't for me. I mean, teenagers and kids being forced to fight to the death is not usually what I would consider quality bookish entertainment (at least for me). But then I kept seeing all of these gushing reviews from all of my favourite bloggers and I thought to myself – maybe there is something more that I'm just not getting.
I ended up listening to the series on audio book and it absolutely blew my mind. Seriously the audio's of these books were amazing and I highly recommend them to everyone!
Paranormal/Fantasy
The Iron Fey by Julie Kagawa
The Iron Fey series was actually my first venture into the Fey world and I just loved every single one of these books. From my favourite character of all time Puck, to the incredible world building at the hands of Kagawa this is a series that I know I will be coming back to again!
Christian/Amish Fiction
Abraham's Daughters by Beverly Lewis
This was actually one of the first series' that I read after finishing university and I have to say what a treat it was to be able to read something that I wasn't being graded on! This series helped to renew my love of reading and it is another that I can see myself reading again!
What about you? What is your favourite series?

I definitely wouldn't call this cheating. It's just being creative
I've only read the Hunger Games but not the other series though I've heard of them. Posts like this really make me want to stop what I am reading an entire new series.
