Looking ahead to 2013 on Words at Home
Happy New Year from the Words at Home family!

2012 was a whirl wind of a year for both Words at Home, and my real life family and home. At the end of the year we welcomed our 3rd little bookworm into our family and as anticipated life has gotten quite a bit crazier! I had to take a bit of a break from blogging for the last few months of 2012 and as we ring in 2013 with joy and anticipation I also welcome a fresh new year for Words at Home and a return to regular blogging.
I am thrilled to be co-hosting the 2013 TBR Pile Challenge for the second year in a row, along with Evie @Bookish, Rachel @Fiktshun, Justin @Justin's Book Blog, Emily @Doodle's Book Blog, Tiffany @Escaping One Book At A Time. This has by far been my favorite challenge and it is a great way to help me focus on reading books that I really want to read!
The only way that I will be able to keep a regular posting schedule is to actually have a posting schedule and I am also going to introduce two new features to help me tackle that never ending TBR pile.
Mondays I will continue to participate in my favourite blogging Meme – “It’s Monday What Are You Reading?” This meme is such a great way for me to plan out my reading and highlight my favourite posts of the past week (as well as share what I’ve got coming up for the rest of the week).
Tuesdays will be a new feature called “TBR Pile Tuesdays” which will feature a review (or a “mini” review) of a book that has been sitting on my TBR list for at least 6+ months. I am often hesitant about reviewing “older” books that everyone and their brother have read because I am usually wondering what could I possibly add to the discussion, so I think that mini reviews will be the perfect encouragement for me to read and review these books.
Wednesday and Thursdays will be regular posting days with either reviews, or author features.
On Fridays I would like to introduce a new feature “Favourite Fridays” where I will get a chance to highlight some of my favourite blog posts from the week. These could be stellar reviews that I have come across, author features or guest posts, you name it. If I loved it I’ll share it! On these days I will write a brief description about what I loved about the particular posts and add a link to it – you will have to go to the original blog to read the post as I will not be sharing any of the actual post content on my blog.
I am hoping that by having a set schedule established I will be able to maintain a regular posting schedule even though my life will be in pure chaos most times! J
I’d love to hear your thoughts, as well as what you have in store for your blog for 2013!!!

Congratulations Bonnie…what a beautiful family!!!
Like you, I love participating in the It's Monday meme…I definitely find it helps me keep organized with what needs to be read (in terms of upcoming reviews) and reviews that need to be done. And I like your idea of doing mini-reviews on older books. I have a ton that have been sitting on my shelves for a while and like you, feel funny putting up a review when the book has been around for so long.
Hope you have a great new year!!!

First time visiting your blog. I agree with you that a posting schedule seems to be the way to go in terms of providing content on a regular basis. Of course, I don't know why I don't do it myself. I also don't know how people with busier lives than I do are able to manage it. Good luck!
